Poem: My Grandfather

Brief Introduction:
I wrote this poem when I was 12. It was my very first 'real' poem that I wrote. The Waiting Room by Chryss Lyss inspired my to write this poem. I even cried when I finished the ending! Well, here it is.

As I step into this room,

My mind rushed back to the old memories,
Not realizing ,tears started to rolled down my cheeks.

As I remembered that once my grandfather had said
' Never give up till you reach that tower of sucess'
And of course, I kept that in mind.

I always wonder if my grandfather was not by my side,
Would I reach the place I would be now?
For his sacrifices are as many as the stars above.

I could not forget that day,
When the room was filled with pain and sorrow,
But grandfather was always the strongest one,
He could even smile when he was the one suffering .

But at last came that moment ,
When my beloved grandfather started to closed his eyes,
My feelings were unexplainable , I was too sad .

Maybe this was a challenge ,
That I have to face and accept ,
And just go on with my life ....
